Rafael Polanco Segovia

Rafael Polanco's project is about creating a generic framework that allows the implementation of neural network models into the flight software and hardware of a spacecraft. Along with the next-generation AI-based data compression algorithms developed by his colleagues in the overall project, this is paving the way for future mission usage where space-to-ground throughput limitations significantly limit and constrain the downlinking of scientific and engineering data.
